Martyrdom anniv of Birsreshto Matiur Rahman observed

Bangladesh Air Force observed the 54th martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed Birsreshto Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman on Wednesday with due solemnity. On this occasion, Doa mahfil was arranged at all BAF Bases and unit's mosque. 

Special munajat was also offered seeking divine blessings of the departed soul of the deceased.  His noble heroic sacrifice in 1971 War of Liberation was remembered with high esteem, according to ISPR. 

In the morning, Air Officer Commanding of Bangladesh Air Force Base Bir Uttam AK Khandker Air Vice Marshal Mohammed Khair Ul Afsar, GUP, ndc, psc took part in special munajat, offered for the salvation of the departed soul of Shaheed Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman at the Martyred Intellectuals' Graveyard at Mirpur and commemorated his contribution with great solemnity. Senior Officers and Airmen from Air Headquarters and BAF Bases of Dhaka area were also present on the occasion. 

Besides, different programmes were arranged at different schools and colleges of Bangladesh Air Force where his heroic stupendous contribution during Liberation War of Birsreshto Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman was highlighted and special munajat was offered for the salvation of his departed soul.
