Kho Kho Federation observes ‘Mass Uprising Day’

In solemn remembrance of the historic Mass Uprising Day, the Bangladesh Kho Kho Federation organised a series of programmes on Tuesday. 

The day-long events reflected both reverence for national history and a commitment to promoting the traditional sport of Kho Kho among youth.

The day commenced with a Referee Refresher Course at the Federation's conference room in the morning. The session was formally inaugurated by the Federation's Vice-President, Engineer Abdur Muqtadir Belal. Among others, Bayezid Mondal, Farukul Islam, and Sheikh Abdur Rahman delivered speech, elaborating on the modern rules and techniques of Kho Kho officiating.

A friendly match between Lake Circus Girls' High School and Siddheshwari Girls' High School was held at the Maulana Bhasani National Hockey Stadium in Dhaka. Siddheshwari Girls' High School narrowly edged out opponent with a 5-4 victory. Prior to the commencement of the match, a minute's silence was observed in honour of the martyrs of the July Mass Uprising. 

The day's proceedings culminated in a discussion session and a prayer gathering in the afternoon, held in memory of the martyrs. Federation President AHM Ziaul Haque graced the event as the Chief Guest. Also present were the General Secretary, Mir Kaisar Sadik Sajib, along with other distinguished officials and members of the Kho Kho Federation. The events were conducted and coordinated by the Federation's Joint Secretary, Motiur Rahman Babul.
