Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty winds are likely to occur across most parts of Bangladesh in the next 24 hours starting from 9 am today (Wednesday), according to a press release from the Meteorological Department.
The forecast includes widespread rainfall over Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions, while many areas in Rangpur and Rajshahi divisions may also experience showers. Some places across the country may see moderately heavy to very heavy rainfall.
The Met Office reported that the monsoon is currently active over Bangladesh and moderately active over the North Bay.
Day and night temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged across the country.
On Tuesday, the highest temperature was recorded at 34.5°C in Chandpur, while today’s minimum was 22.4°C in Tangail.
In Dhaka, the sun will set at 6:39 pm today and rise at 5:31 am tomorrow.
