Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University (JKKNIU) hosted the Entrepreneurship Fair Season 03 and the 1st Research Symposium 2025 on Monday, bringing together innovative business ideas and research contributions from its students.
Organized by Department of Marketing, the day-long programs offered a platform for showcasing technology-driven startups, eco-friendly products, social entrepreneurship, and e-commerce models.
The Entrepreneurship Fair, inaugurated at 10 AM, featured five student teams presenting projects developed under the Entrepreneurship Development and SME Management course of the 2022–23 academic year. The event was supervised by Lecturer Kumar Biswajit Saha.
The 1st Research Symposium 2025 began at 11 AM on the sixth floor of the Faculty of Business Studies. Final-year Marketing students from the 2020–21 academic session presented research papers covering diverse contemporary topics.
Among the fair’s highlights were a startup offering eco-friendly packaging, a social initiative for rural women’s skill development, and new entrepreneurial models to support students’ income opportunities. The team “Dokkhota.com” received the Best Entrepreneur Award for their project.
Event supervisor Lecturer Kumar Biswajit Saha told, “After graduation, one either leads or is led. While many prepare for jobs, some dream of creating something new. This course was included in the curriculum to encourage that spirit. I am proud to share this knowledge with my students.”
Chairman of Department of Marketing at JKKNIU, Dr. Momen said, “On the same day, students were able to engage in two major platforms for creativity and research. Such opportunities will enhance their practical skills and enable them to contribute effectively to national development.”
Professor Dr. Md. Nuruzzaman, Chairman of Department of Marketing at Rajshahi University, attended the event as a special guest. In his speech, he said, “This fair and symposium represent an extraordinary blend of creativity and research by young people. True leadership is built not only through theoretical knowledge but also through practical initiatives. The innovation and research displayed here will contribute positively to the nation’s business and economy.”
Dr. Md. Abdul Momen along with Lecturers Kumar Biswajit Saha, Mahmuda Akter, and Sumona Akter Sumi, visited the stalls and research sessions. Hundreds of students from different faculties explored the fair and interacted with the participants.
