Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has officially announced that the Asia Cup 2025 will be held entirely in the United Arab Emirates, with matches split between Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
The tournament will begin on September 9th and conclude with the final in Dubai on September 28th.
This edition of the Asia Cup will follow the T20 format, featuring eight teams: India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Hong Kong, UAE, and Oman.
Bangladesh has been placed in Group B alongside Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Hong Kong. All of the Tigers’ group stage matches will take place in Abu Dhabi. Their fixtures are as follows:
1. Bangladesh vs Hong Kong on September 11th
2. Bangladesh vs Sri Lanka on September 13th
3. Bangladesh vs Afghanistan on September 16th
India, Pakistan, UAE, and Oman are in Group A. All matches in this group will be played in Dubai. India will open their campaign against hosts UAE on September 10th, followed by a much-anticipated clash against Pakistan on September 14th, and a match against Oman on September 19th.
The top two teams from each group will advance to the Super Four stage, starting on September 20th. The final will be held on September 28th at the Dubai International Stadium.
Originally scheduled to be hosted by India, the tournament was relocated to a neutral venue due to political tensions between India and Pakistan, with Pakistan refusing to play matches on Indian soil. As a result, the UAE was chosen to host the entire tournament.
