Portuguese forward Joao Felix has completed a high-profile move to Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr, where he will now play alongside compatriot Cristiano Ronaldo.
The club confirmed the transfer on Tuesday, announcing a two-year contract for the 25-year-old.
In a video shared on Al-Nassr’s official X (formerly Twitter) account, Felix said, “I’m here to spread joy. Let’s win together.” Another post indicated his contract will run through 2027.
Felix, once one of Europe’s brightest prospects, made headlines in 2019 when he joined Atletico Madrid from Benfica for €127.7 million ($147.3 million), making him one of the most expensive transfers in football history.
Despite loan spells at Chelsea, Barcelona and AC Milan, the forward has struggled to rediscover the prolific form he showed in Portugal, failing to score more than 10 goals in a season since leaving Benfica.
Felix’s move adds another big name to the growing list of European stars heading to Saudi Pro League as it continues its aggressive push for global recognition.
