BNP municipality body formed in Pirojpur

PIROJPUR, July 19: The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has formed a new committee for the Pirojpur municipality through a council session held on Friday afternoon at the District Shilpakala Academy.

Ahead of the main council, preparatory conferences were conducted across all nine wards under the municipality. Councillors from each ward participated in the session and cast their votes to elect the new leadership of the committee.

Sheikh Shahidullah Shahid was elected as president, while former ward commissioner Sarwar Hossain Hawlader was chosen as general secretary.
The council was attended by District BNP Convener Principal Alamgir Hossain, Member Secretary Gazi Ohiduzzaman Lavlu, senior member Advocate Abul Kalam Akon, and central BNP leaders.
