Youth electrocuted at Hossainpur

HOSSAINPUR, KISHOREGANJ, July 19: A young man was electrocuted in Hossainpur Upazila of the district on Saturday morning.

The deceased was identified as Rajon Mia, 32, son of Hobu Mia, a resident of Lakhuhati Village in the upazila.
According to locals, Rajon came into contact with a live electric wire while trying repair an electric connection in the house in the morning, which left him seriously injured.
He was then rescued and taken to Hossainpur Upazila Health Complex, where the on-duty doctor declared him dead upon arrival.
Officer-in-Charge of Hossainpur Police Station Maruf Hossain confirmed the incident.
