‘Private University Resistance Day’ observed at Hatirjheel

A film screening and musical soiree of July songs and a drone show were held at Hatirjheel amphitheatre as 18 July is being observed as ‘Private University Resistance Day.’

The Ministry of Cultural Affairs has organised the event as part of the month-long July revival program on the anniversary of the July Uprising.

The program began at 6 PM with the performance of the national anthem, said an official handout.
 

 


Later, the films “Heroes without Capes: Private University in July” and “You Failed to Kill Abrar Fahad” were screened.

The programs of the event include performing songs by singers Sezan, Tashfi and Sunny and musical bands Rapper Collective and Artcell.

After performing the July songs, a drone show based on the July Uprising and the Prelude was exhibited.

 

 


Members of the Advisory Council, secretaries and officials of various ministries, as well as a large number of students from private universities enjoyed the event.
