3 workers dies after falling from Ctg building

Three workers have died after falling from a nine-storey building in the Kotwali police station area of Chittagong city.

The accident occurred on Friday afternoon at the nine-storey building of Rangam Convention Hall under Kotwali police station.

The deceased individuals are Md. Hasan, son of Firoz Goyal of Charjabbar Charkalak area of Noakhali district, Fakhrul Islam, son of Selim of Char Nanglia area of Charjabbar Char Nanglia area of Noakhali district, and Md. Rashed, son of Abul Kalam of the same area.

Locals said that construction workers had been working in the building since morning. Three people slipped and fell due to negligence. When they were rescued and taken to Chittagong Medical College Hospital in an injured condition, the doctor on duty declared them dead.

Nurul Alom Ashek, in-charge of the police outpost of Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) said that the three people were brought to the medical center in serious injuries and the doctor declared them dead.

Kotwali Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Abdul Karim said the bodies of the three are at the Chittagong Medical College morgue for autopsy. Legal action is being taken in this incident.
