Tree fair begins in Pirojpur

PIROJPUR, July 18: A week-long tree fair has begun on the Gopal Krishna Town Club premises in the district town on Thursday. 
The district administration and Forest Department jointly organized the fair.

Pirojpur Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mohammed Ashraful Alam Khan was present as the chief guest while Divisional Forest Officer Md Shahin Kabir presided over the inaugural function.

Additional DC (General) Md Alaudddin Bhuiyan Jony attended the programme as the special guest. 
   
Tree saplings from various local and foreign varieties have been collected for sale in the fair.
