Chattogram Custom authorities are auctioning 475 cargo containers that have been lying idle at Chattogram Port for a long time.

Chattogram Customs Revenue Officer Bijon Kumar Talukder informed about the auction of these products on Monday.

According to sources at the Chittagong Customs Auction Branch, these goods were lying at the port for a long time. As the importer did not release them within the stipulated time, they were considered eligible for auction. This initiative has been taken to speed up the port's operations and collect government revenue.

Chittagong Customs House, revenue officer Bijan Kumar Talukder said, "Detailed information and terms and conditions of each product put up for auction have been published online for interested buyers. The opportunity to view the products will be given from July 16 to 22. Tenders must be submitted in the prescribed form by July 29. After the selection, the auction process will be completed on July 30."

He also said, "Along with the concrete mixer lorry, there are also various types of spare parts, electronic products and consumer goods. The customs authorities have called on individuals and organizations interested in participating in the auction to collect the prescribed forms from the auction branch of the Customs House and submit their tenders on time."
