One killed, 10 injured in Magura road mishap

One individual died and ten others were injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a rickshaw van in Alamkhali Ramnagar area of Magura Sadar upazila on Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Sagar Mollah, 25, son of Awal Mollah, a resident of Gauricharanpur village in Sadar upazila. Sagar was a van driver by profession.

According to locals, the accident occurred when a bus of 'Golden Line Paribahan' collided head-on with a rickshaw van and fell into a roadside ditch, leaving the van driver dead on the spot and ten other bus passengers injured.

Later, locals rescued them and admitted to Magura and Jhenaidah General Hospitals.

Ramnagar Highway Police Station sub-inspector Mahbubur Rahman confirmed the incident.
