Amirul Haque elected President of BCMA

Mohammad Amirul Haque, Managing Director of Premier Cement Mills PLC, has been elected President of the Bangladesh Cement Manufacturers Association (BCMA) for the 2025–2027 term. He succeeds Mr. Alamgir Kabir in this leadership role.

A veteran industrialist with over four decades of experience across a wide array of sectors—including cement, LPG, petrochemicals, shipping, agro-processing, edible oil refining, and real estate—Mr. Haque is widely regarded for his visionary leadership. He is also the Founder and Managing Director of Seacom Group and currently serves as President of the LPG Operators Association of Bangladesh (LOAB).

Mr. Haque has been repeatedly recognized by the Government of Bangladesh as a Commercially Important Person (CIP) for his outstanding contributions to industry and commerce. He has also served as a director of both the Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI).

An alumnus of the University of Chittagong and a postgraduate from the United Kingdom, Mr. Haque is known for his commitment to fostering sustainable industrial growth and contributing to progressive economic policy.

His appointment to BCMA’s top post is expected to usher in a new era of strategic advancement and resilience for the cement industry. Mr. Haque’s enduring legacy lies in his ability to blend business excellence with social responsibility—paving the way for a more inclusive and industrially empowered Bangladesh.
