One more FIR-listed accused has been arrested over the brutal murder of scrap trader Chand Miah alias Md Sohag near Mitford Hospital in the old Dhaka.
The arrested is Md Titon Gazi. Kotwali police arrested Gazi. DMP's public relation division deputy police commissioner Muhammad Talebur Rahman confirmed this on Saturday morning.
With him, total five individuals, so far, arrested.
Earlier police have arrested four people who were involved in the killing.
On Wednesday, Mohammed Sohag, 39, was dragged from his Old Dhaka
shop in broad daylight and beaten to death near the gate ofMitford
Hospital. His body was crushed with large chunks of concrete. Later, his battered and broken body was left on the street. And the video of the incident went viral on social media on Friday (July 11), two-day after the incident.
Two arrested--Mahmudul Hasan Mohin, 41, named as the prime suspect, and Tarek Rahman Robin, 22-- were taken on remand on different durations in two separate cases ---one for murder and one under the Arms Act--- filed with Kotwali Police Station.
