Dhaka University Alumni Association (DUAA) has implemented new anti-lobbying protocols for scholarship interviews, fundamentally restructuring communication procedures to ensure fair selection processes.
The organisation now sends text messages directly to applicants, completely eliminating traditional serial number systems that previously facilitated personal influence.
Each SMS contains three critical details: interview time, date, and group number. Messages are dispatched one day before scheduled viva examinations, providing adequate preparation time whilst maintaining security.
DUAA office confirmed on Sunday that all scholarship candidates will receive these automated notifications on their mobile devices.
This digital transformation specifically targets transparency concerns within the selection process. By removing serial numbers entirely, the association has closed potential channels for personal recommendations and external pressure.
The group-based structure maintains organisational efficiency whilst preventing individual identification that could enable lobbying attempts.
Officials emphasised that these measures represent a comprehensive approach to eliminating corruption risks. The new system ensures identical treatment for all candidates, regardless of personal connections or external influence.
This standardised procedure should boost confidence amongst applicants and their families regarding fair assessment practices.
The initiative reflects DUAA's broader commitment to ethical scholarship distribution. By modernising communication methods and removing traditional influence channels, the organisation demonstrates serious dedication to merit-based selection criteria throughout the evaluation process.
