2 DNCC cleaners killed being hit by covered van at Khilkhet

Two cleaners were killed after being run over by a covered van in the capital's Khilkhet early Sunday.

Deceased Ashraf Ali, 60, and Nehar Begum, 40. Ashraf were the cleaners of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC).

According to Khilkhet Police Station SI Al Amin, while two DNCC cleaners were at work on the road, a covered van ran them over, leaving the duo dead on the spot.

The covered van was seized and its driver Abul Kashem has been detained.
