Iran reports 430 dead, 3500 injured in Israeli strikes

At least 430 people have been killed and more than 3,500 injured in Iran since clashes with Israel began on June 13, according to Iranian Ministry of Health. 

This is the first official casualty update released by Iranian authorities since the conflict erupted.

The figures were published on Saturday by Iran’s state-affiliated Nour News Agency, citing the health ministry. 

The announcement comes amid continued hostilities between the two countries, marking one of the deadliest escalations in the region in recent years.

The ministry had previously reported 224 deaths as of last Sunday. The new data indicates a sharp rise in casualties over the past week.

In contrast, Israeli officials have reported that 24 civilians in Israel were killed following missile strikes launched from Iran since the start of the conflict.

A US-based rights organization, Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), has claimed that the actual death toll in Iran could be significantly higher, estimating at least 657 fatalities.

Tensions between the two nations remain high as international calls for de-escalation continue to mount.
