Is surpassing the truth of life,
Being better than others
Is that it?
Is this really what has God created us for?
To feel jealous,
To climb over others,
Leaving them behind in our shadows,
Then mocking them,
As we outshine?
Is life really that miserable?
That depressing?
That selfish?
Has God created such beasts
Or is the 'Eternal Planner'
Just an Eternal Experimenter?
Are we simply here
To surpass,
And then die?
If so,
Is life truly just an experiment?
A rat race?
The urge to surpass others
Has lived in us
Since the beginning.
We always try to be better.
Smarter.
Richer.
How disturbed can we be?
Well,
Maybe it's not our fault.
Maybe it's the fault of society.
The fault of the 'Eternal Planner'.
The fault,
Of human nature.
