Two people, including an elderly woman, were crushed under trains in separate incidents at Chirirbandar Railway Station in Dinajpur district on Friday.
The deceased were Anjuara Begum, 60, a resident of Basudebpur village and Ziabur Rahman, 43, a residents of Paschim Saitara village in Chirirbandar upazila of the district.
Md Abdul Wadud, officer-in-charge (OC) of Chirirbandar thana told that Anjuara had died on the spot after slipping and falling under a moving train while attempting to board the Shantahar-bound Dolonchapa Express.
Later, around 2.30pm, Ziabur was crushed under the Rajshahi-bound Banglabandha Express at the same station.
Processes are underway to file separate unnatural death cases with the railway police station, the OC added.
