One killed, 5 injured in Sirajganj road mishap

One individual died and five others injured in a road mishap at Kazipur upazila in Sirajganj district on Friday morning.

The incident occurred in the Sonamukhi area on the Sirajganj-Kaizpara regional highway at 8 AM.
The deceased was identified as Ainul Haque, 60, a resident of Pacgachi village under Sonamukhi union in the upazila.

According to locals, a Dhaka-bound bus lost it’s control and overturned while driving at a reckless speed, causing one person to die on the spot and five others to be seriously injured.

Locals rescued them and took to Kazipur Upazila Health Complex for treatment.

Kazipur Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Nur Alam confirmed the incident and said that the body has been sent to Sirajganj M Monsur Ali Medical College Hospital for an autopsy.
