284 more dengue cases reported in 24hrs

284 new dengue cases were reported across the country in the 24 hours leading up to Thursday morning, bringing the total number of cases this year to 6,926, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Of the newly recorded cases, 104 were reported in Barishal Division, 39 in Chattogram, seven in Khulna, four in Mymensingh, 18 in Rajshahi, three in Rangpur, and 18 in the Dhaka Division, all outside the capital’s city corporations.
Within Dhaka city, 20 new cases were reported in the North City Corporation and 35 in the South City Corporation.

DGHS confirmed that the number of deaths remains unchanged at 30, with no new fatalities reported during this period.

Currently, 793 dengue patients are undergoing treatment at various hospitals nationwide.

Last year, dengue claimed 575 lives. The total number of cases in 2024 stood at 101,214, with 100,040 recoveries, according to DGHS data.
