2nd COVID patient dies in Jashore

Another patient infected with COVID-19 has died in Jashore.

He died at Jashore General Hospital's ICU at 12:30AM on Thursday, said the hospital's supervisor Hussein Shafayat.

He was identified as Yusuf, 45.

Earlier on Wednesday morning, another patient infected with the coronavirus had died at the hospital's ICU.

Shafayat said that Yusuf had been admitted to the medicine ward on the third floor of the hospital with kidney issues on June 13.

He was transferred to the ICU the following day when his condition worsened. Yusuf's oxygen level began to fall and doctors advised a rapid antigen test.

Yusuf died before doctors could begin treating him for the coronavirus, supervisor added.
