Ex-minister Shamsul Alam arrested from Mohammadpur

Detective Branch (DB) police arrested former state minister for planning Dr Shamsul Alam from the capital's Mohammadpur area.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Joint Commissioner Nasirul Islam confirmed the arrest news.

"Shamsul Alam was arrested and he is currently at the Detective Branch (DB) office on Minto Road. There is a case against him and he will be produced before the court today,"Nasirul Islamadded.
