Fresh Anonna Sanitary Napkin, a flagship brand of Meghna Group of Industries (MGI), is conducting a nationwide university campaign as part of its menstrual hygiene awareness initiative. In collaboration with Excellence Bangladesh, Fresh Anonna is initially conducting the campaign in 15 universities, says a press release.

The campaign activities include workshops and sessions on menstrual hygiene. Fresh Anonna is also setting up vending machines as part of the campaign for female students and women from all walks of life, to ensure ease and affordability in accessing sanitary napkins.
Fresh Anonna is the first and only sanitary napkin brand in Bangladesh to feature Double Protection. Designed for both comfort and reliability, it combines air-laid paper and ADL layers to provide faster absorption and enhanced leak protection. This ensures better hygiene and greater comfort throughout the menstrual cycle.

Fresh Anonna undertakes various initiatives to promote menstrual hygiene awareness among women across the country, including those from underprivileged communities. These efforts include nationwide awareness campaigns in schools, colleges, and universities, as well as the installation of sanitary napkin vending machines.

According to the National Hygiene Survey 2018, only 29% of women in Bangladesh use sanitary napkins during menstruation. This means approximately 71% still use unhygienic cloths, which can lead to cervical infections, infertility, and even cancer. This issue requires mass awareness.
