In a major step toward addressing the teacher shortage across Bangladesh, the Non-Government Teachers’ Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA) on Monday issued its sixth mass recruitment circular to fill 1,00,822 MPO-listed teaching positions in private educational institutions nationwide.

According to the notice, applications will open on June 22 and continue until midnight, July 10, while the last date for fee submission is July 13.

Of the total positions, 46,211 are at schools and colleges, 53,501 at madrasas, and 1,110 at technical and business management institutions. The recruitment will be made through the entry-level phase under the MPO (Monthly Pay Order) scheme.

The official circular, signed by NTRCA Member Md Shahadat Hossain, also states that applicants must be 35 years old or younger as of June 4, 2025, the date of the final result of the 18th Teacher Registration Exam. Registration certificates will remain valid for three years from that date.

Candidates will be able to select a maximum of 40 preferred institutions while applying through the NTRCA and Teletalk websites. A non-refundable application fee of Tk 1,000 will be required. Applications without fee payment will be automatically rejected.

The circular further warned that any applicant found providing false information will have their recommendation cancelled and face legal action. If any institution fails to issue appointment letters to selected candidates within the stipulated time, its MPO benefits and managing committee could face suspension or dissolution, the NTRCA added.

The announcement comes amid rising demand for quality education and adequate staffing in the country’s private sector educational institutions.
