Youth dies after being hit by train in Dinajpur

A youth died after being hit by a train at Parbatipur upazila in Dinajpur district on Monday.

The deceased was identified as Sagor, 18, son of Hasanur Rahman of Monirampur village under Sundarganj upazila in Gaibandha district.

According to locals, Sagar, along with some friends was travelling from Bonarpara to Chirirbandar in the Ramshagor local train on Monday morning.

Sagar was riding on the roof of the train, hit an abandoned iron pillar and fell under the train when the train entered Parbatipur Railway Station

While attempting to get out, his right arm and leg were cut under the train and caused him severely injured and he died on the spot.
Later, locals informed the police.

Being informed by the locals, police reached the spot and recovered the body.

Parbatipur Railway Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Fakhrul Islam confirmed the incident.
