Israel has come under a fresh wave of ballistic missile attacks from Iran for the third consecutive day, as tensions between the two nations continue to escalate. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed the latest strikes on Sunday evening, stating that several missiles were launched toward Israeli cities.

According to the IDF, most of the incoming missiles were intercepted by Israel's advanced air defense systems. No casualties or major damages have been reported as of yet.
“In the past hour, Iran fired multiple ballistic missiles targeting Israeli territory. Most of them were successfully neutralized mid-air,” read a statement from the Israeli military.

Following the attacks, Israeli authorities activated air raid sirens across several regions, advising citizens to seek shelter. The IDF urged the public to remain alert and follow all safety instructions issued by the Home Front Command.

Iran’s state-run media confirmed the strikes, describing them as retaliatory attacks in response to earlier Israeli offensives on Iranian soil. Iranian military officials stated that the missiles were aimed at strategic targets inside Israel.

This ongoing conflict was reignited on Friday after Israeli strikes reportedly targeted military sites within Iran. Since then, both countries have engaged in tit-for-tat attacks, raising fears of a broader regional confrontation.

In response to the heightened threat, Israeli forces remain on high alert across the country, while diplomatic efforts to de-escalate the situation have yet to yield results.
