SONARGAON, NARAYANGANJ, June 15: Safia Khatun, mother of Vice-President of Sonargaon Press Club and Narayanganj District Correspondent of The Daily Inqilab Moktar Hossain Molla, died at her residence in Pirojpur Village of the upazila at dawn on Saturday. She was 98.

She had been suffering from old-age complications for long.

Her Namaz-e-Janaza was held in Pirojpur Village of Sonargaon at 11 am.

Later on, she was buried at Pirojpur Graveyard.

Safia Khatun left behind three sons, five daughters, grandchildren, a host of relatives and many well-wishers to mourn her death.
