One killed, 7 injured in B’baria road crash

A man was killed and seven others were injured in a road mishap at Bijoynagar upazila in Brahmanbaria district on Sunday morning.

The accident took place onon Dhaka-Sylhet Highway in the upazila.

The deceased, Sohag, 38, was a microbus driver.
According to locals, a Dhaka bound stone-laden truck collided head-on with a microbus, leaving 8 people including the microbus driver Sohag seriously injured on the spot.

Locals later rescued the injured and took them to Madhabpur Upazila Health Complex where on-duty doctors declared Sohag dead upon arrival.

Confirming the matter, Bijoynagar Highway Police Station sub-inspector (SI) Pipul Barua said that the two vehicles have been taken to police custody.
