A girl was killed and at least 10 others were injured in a road accident involving a bus, a microbus, and a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in Narsingdi on Sunday afternoon.
The accident occurred around noon at Chakshal Mor in the Panchdona-Ghorashal regional road of Narsingdi’s Panchdona area.
The victim Trisha, 12, daughter of Selim Mia from Bashgari area in Raipura upazila, was a passenger in the CNG auto-rickshaw.
According to police and eyewitnesses, a passenger bus of Jatayat Paribahan, coming from Dhaka at high speed, collided with an oncoming CNG auto-rickshaw at Chakshal Mor. Immediately after, the bus also struck a microbus, resulting in a devastating three-way crash. Trisha died on the spot, while 10 others from the CNG and microbus sustained injuries.
Locals rushed to the scene and transported the injured to Narsingdi District Hospital and Ghorashal Roushan General Private Hospital.
Madhabdi Police Station Sub-Inspector Jewel Ran confirmed the accident.
