The Ministry of Home Affairs on Sunday ordered the transfer of four Additional Deputy Inspector Generals (Additional DIGs) in a significant police reshuffle.
The decision was announced on Sunday through a circular from the Police-1 Branch under the Public Security Division.
According to the notification, Ali Akbar Khan, previously with the Rapid Response Force (RRF), has been transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) as Additional DIG, Mohammad Shamsul Haque, Commanding Officer of 9 APBn in Chattogram, to CID as Additional DIG, Md. Nazrul Islam, Additional DIG of Dhaka APBn, to CID and Rumana Akhter, Additional DIG of CID, has been transferred to Dhaka RRF as Commandant.
The transfers are effective immediately, according to an official notification from the Home Ministry.
