BSF pushes-in 12 more thru Lalmonirhat borders

Indian Border Security Force (BSF) has once again pushed in 12 people through three border points under two upazilas of Lalmonirhat district on Saturday.

The incident occurred at Patgram and Hatibandha borders on early Saturday.

According to Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and local sources, three people entered Bangladesh territory after being pushed in by BSF through Bonchouki border at Hatibandha upazila. In the morning, locals detained them and handed them over to BGB.

Meanwhile, at Purbo Sardubi border of the same upazila, BSF attempt to push in another three people was foiled by BGB and locals.

In another incident, BSF pushed in six more men and women early in the morning through Dangapara border under Sreerampur union of Patgram upazila.

However, later on, BGB and locals managed to send them back to Indian side across the barbed wire fence.

BGB source stated that a flag meeting has been called with BSF regarding the incident.
