25-km traffic on Dhaka-Tangail-Jamuna bridge

Eid holiday makers towards Dhaka and North Bengal have been facing endless sufferings as around 25-kilometere traffic was created on the Dhaka-Tangail-Jamuna bridge.

Vehicles were stuck in long queues from the west roundabout of the bridge through Koddar Mor, Jhaoil Overpass, Nalka Mor and up to Simanta Bazar.

It was learnt that four to five vehicles were out of order in several accidents which led to this long tailback.
The traffic congestion began on Friday midnight and it intensified early Saturday.

According to Jamuna Bridge authorities, several accidents occurred on the bridge at an early hours. Following the accident, four to five vehicles were out of order.

Police and the bridge authorities are trying to ease the traffic.
