Aklima Atika Konika, who proudly represented Bangladesh at the prestigious Miss World 2025 competition, shared her unforgettable journey with The Daily Observer.

Organised by Azra Mahmood Talent Camp, the event served as a reflection on her inspiring path-from being crowned Miss World Bangladesh to competing on one of the world's grandest stages. Konika spoke candidly about the intensity of preparation, the emotional highs and lows, and the unforgettable moments she experienced during the global pageant.

"I walked onto that stage not just as a contestant, but as the face of millions of Bangladeshis. Every step, every smile, every word-I carried the pride of my people," shared Konika during her speech.

Though she did not take home a crown, Konika's elegance, authenticity, and powerful stage presence earned her widespread admiration and applause from national and international audiences alike. Her journey became a point of pride for the country, proving that representation goes beyond accolades-it's about heart, grit, and identity.

The event included a lively quick-fire Q&A and touching tributes from many of those who helped bring the Miss World journey to life.

In attendance were key partners and supporters, including the team from MBIT (Miss Bangladesh in Training), a pioneering platform dedicated to preparing young Bangladeshis for global representation. They played a vital role in Konika's grooming and development throughout her reign.

Leading designer Mehruz Munir, who designed many of Konika's key looks for Miss World, was honored during the session, alongside other talented designers, Raisa Amin Shaily, Fardin Bayezid, Biswajit & Trisha who contributed to her wardrobe. The event also celebrated the contributions of the creative team that worked behind the scenes: photographers Naymul Islam, cinematographers Ashrafuzzaman Shakhhor and Polash Biswas, and choreographers Asaad Khan.

A special acknowledgment was given to Efa Tabassum, Model, Stylist and Fashion Director, who was Konika's stylist and image architect throughout the international journey, she curated and executed each of her looks with precision, ensuring consistency and cultural pride on a global platform.

"This was never a solo journey," Konika said. "It was built on the shoulders of mentors, creatives, friends, and believers. Today, I stand here not as an individual, but as a reflection of all of you."

As she returns from the international spotlight, this experience-sharing session was more than a homecoming-it was a moment to honor a collective dream realized. Konika's story now stands as an inspiration to aspiring youth across the nation, proving that with passion, preparation, and purpose, the global stage is within reach.

"We are incredibly proud of Konika. She represents the next generation of Bangladeshi women-strong, compassionate, and globally minded," said Azra Mahmood, National Director of Miss World Bangladesh.

Looking ahead, Konika will now focus her energy on her chosen "Beauty With A Purpose" advocacy-Young Mind Matters-an initiative dedicated to youth mental health and emotional wellbeing. With her voice amplified and platform strengthened, she promises to roll out powerful awareness campaigns and projects in the coming months to support and uplift the next generation.
