Youth electrocuted in Gaibandha

A youth died by electrocution at Sadullapur upazila in Gaibandha district on Thursday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Likhon Mia, 16, son of Babul Mia of Raghobendpur village under Idilpur union in the upazila.
According to locals, Likhon Mia was connecting the electrical wire to the rice threshing machine at home. At that time, he was electrocuted and injured in the spot.

Later, locals rescued him and took to Pirganj Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.

Idilpur Union Parishad (UP) member Aminur Rashid Mondol confirmed the incident.
