Child electrocuted in Sherpur

A child died by electrocution at Nalitabari upazila in Sherpur district on Thursday.

The deceased was identified as Salman Farsi, 8, son of Ilias Hossain of Uttar Nakshi village at Koloshpar union under the upazila.
According to locals, Salman along with their friends were playing at their neighbour's house. There was an auto-rickshaw charging in the yard.

At one point of playing, Salman touched the auto-rickshaw, got electrocuted and injured on the spot.

Later, locals rescued and took him to Nalitabari General Hospital where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.

Nalitabari Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Md Sohel Rana confirmed the incident and said that an unnatural death case has been filed in this regard.
