Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic crash of an Air India flight at Ahmedabad in India, which was carrying 242 passengers.
“I am shocked to learn of the tragic crash of an Air India Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner carrying 242 passengers in Ahmedabad. We extend our deepest condolences to all the families who lost their dear ones in this heartbreaking incident,” the Chief Adviser said in a message to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He added that at this difficult time, their thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families.
“We stand in solidarity with the people and the government of India and offer our full support in any form,” Professor Yunus stated.
The London-bound passenger aircraft crashed on Thursday in India’s western city of Ahmedabad, according to aviation officials.
