Mentioning that the upcoming meeting between Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus and BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman in London is the main event of politics at this moment, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said, "This event is of great importance both nationally and internationally."
"This meeting will play a positive role in helping the country overcome its current crises and could be a turning point for politics. And it may solve many problems," hopes the senior BNP leader.
Mirza Fakhrul said, "Though there is no specific agenda for the meeting, the problem that has arisen over the national election date, can be resolved through it."
"Despite his illness, the party’s acting chairman joined the Standing Committee meeting virtually on Monday. He informed us that he was formally invited to a meeting with the chief adviser," Fakhrul said while talking to reporters at the BNP chairperson's Gulshan office in the capital on Tuesday.
