Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami announced its party candidate for the Bhola-3 (Lalmohan-Tazumuddin) parliamentary constituency on Wednesday .
The announcement was made at Lalmohan Upazila Parishad auditorium during a discussion meeting organised by Lalmohan and Tazumuddin upazila branches of Jamaat-e-Islami.
AKM Fakhruddin Khan Razi, a central Majlis-e-Shura member and the chief guest at the event, declared Muhammad Nizamul Haque Naim, General Secretary of Bangladesh Development Party as Jamaat-e-Islami's party candidate for the Bhola-3 constituency.
In his address, Nizamul Haque expressed his gratitude and said, "Among the entire Barisal division, this constituency was the most neglected and oppressed. For the past 17 years, those who were elected to this seat have spread misgovernance in the name of politics in every area."
"Bhola-3 constituency had turned into a realm of terror. However, in the coming days, we will, Insha'Allah, transform this Bhola-3 constituency into a peaceful, beautiful, and developed constituency across Bangladesh," he added.
The meeting was presided over by Md. Akhtarullah, director of the Bhola-3 constituency committee, and moderated by Maulana Abdur Rob, Amir of Tazumuddin Upazila Jamaat.
Muhammad Zakir Hossain, Amir of Bhola District Jamaat; Principal Nazrul Islam, Naeb-e-Amir; Md. Harunur Rashid, Secretary; Md. Abbas Uddin, Assistant Secretary; Md. Amir Hossain, Shura and working committee member; Maulana Abdul Haque, Amir of Lalmohan Upazila; and leaders and activists from various levels of the party were also present there.
