Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman on Saturday said doubts have created among the people due to the absence of a clear roadmap for reforms and the upcoming national election.

"We are demanding a clear roadmap from the government to restore the people's trust. "We also demanded a fair trial of fascism. This trial process is very long. However, a credible trial must be visible to the nation soon," he said.

The Jamaat Ameer made the remarks at the biannual meeting of the party's Central Majlis-e-Shura, held at Al-Falah Auditorium in the capital's Moghbazar area.

In his opening speech, Dr Shafiqur Rahman said, "The Chief Adviser has repeatedly stated his intention to hold the national election between December this year and June next year. We have confidence in this. In this regard, we are willing to extend all cooperation to the interim government."
