Islamic Arabic University (IAU) Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md Shamsul Alam has said on Saturday that madrasa education plays a vital role in ensuring both worldly success and salvation in the hereafter.
Speaking as the chief guest at the inauguration of a 19-day training workshop titled “Training on Academic, Administrative, and Financial Management – 2025,” the VC emphasized the comprehensive nature of madrasa education, which combines modern, practical, religious, and ethical elements.
The workshop, held at the university’s auditorium, was attended by principals of Kamil (postgraduate) madrasas from across the country.
“You are responsible for managing academic activities effectively and nurturing future leaders for the nation and the ummah,” he said.
“Our collective efforts will be successful only if competent, morally upright scholars emerge from madrasas.”
He expressed hope that the training would equip principals to improve institutional performance through transparency in administration, academics, and financial management.
Presided over by Kamil Education, Training and Research Center Dean Professor Dr Mohammad Wali Ullah, IAU Pro Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Muhammad Abu Zafar Khan, Treasurer ASM Mamunur Rahman Khalili, and Professor Dr Muhammad Shazaat Ullah Farooqi, Dean of the Curriculum Development and Evaluation Center, spoke here as special guests.
IAU Registrar Md. Ayub Hossain conducted the session attended by Mosabbir Mohammad Musha, Director of Finance and Accounts, and Professor Dr Md. Rafique Al Mamun, Director of Planning and Development.
The workshop will continue in phases, with principals from various regions participating to enhance leadership and operational standards in madrasa education.
