
A total of thirty five meritorious students from different departments under various faculties of Islamic University (IU) were given Dean's Award for their excellent academic results in BSS (Hons.) examinations of 2018-2019.
IU Vice-Chancellor Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Nakib Muhammad Nasrullah handed over the awards to the students as the chief guest at a function held at Bir Shrestha Hamidur Rahman Auditorium of the university in the morning.
The students received award, medal, certificate and prize money from IU VC, Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Dr M Yeaqub Ali and treasurer Professor Dr Jahangir Alam.
IU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Nakib Muhammad Nasrullah addressed the event as chief guests while Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Dr M Yeaqub Ali, treasurer Professor Dr Jahangir Alam were present in the function as the special guests. The Theology and Islamic Studies faculty dean Professor Dr ABM Siddiqur Rahman Asrafi in the chair of the event.
The award recipients' are- Md. Redwanul Islam (Emran), Md. Tahmid Hasan and SM Nahid Hasan Joy from the Law and Land Management department under law faculty, Mushfika Khanam, Tasnim Ara, Akhi Khatin, Alamin from Human Resource Management department under BBA faculty; Mosa Rabia Khatun from Mathematics department, Rubaiatul Islam Zerin and Faria Islam from Geography and Environment department, Omar Farouoqe and Md Lotifur Rohman from Statistics department under science faculty; Md. Shamim Sarker from EEE department, Rubaya Hasna from Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering department, Safikur Rahman Fahim from EEE department, Marufa Yesmin Misu from ICT department under engineering and technology faculty; Bulbul Shaikat from Applied Nutrition and Food Technology department, Mahadi Hasan Sojol from Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering department, Khadijatul Simran and Surma Perveen from Pharmacy department under biological science faculty; Md. Jalal Uddin from Al-Quran and Islamic Studies department, Md. Azam Ahmad and Noman Ibne Khair from Al-Hadith and Islamic Studies department, Mohammad Anwarul Kabir and Md. Abdul Ahad from Al-Quran and Islamic Studies department, Masum Billah, Md. Zan-a Alam, Md. Rasli Ahmed Shahin, Ahamad Ullah from Al-Hadith and Islamic Studies department under theology and Islamic studies faculty; Sihab Uddin, Md. Shohedul Islam, and Abdul Kyum from Arabic Language and Literature department under arts faculty; Imrul Kayes from Economics department, Abu Zahld Raihan from Development Studies, and Sumiya Afrin from Economics department under social science faculty of the university.
