NATORE, May 23: Holy Eid-ul-Azha is very forthcoming. During this time, some miscreants usually take advantage to deceive people in money transaction.
Considering the situation, a workshop regarding the matter was held in the hallroom of Gurudaspur Upazila in Natore on Thursday.
Rajshahi Branch-Bangladesh Bank organized the workshop at their own initiative.
Md Moniruzzaman, Manager, Gurudaspur Sonali Bank, presided over the workshop.
Among others, Asadul Islam, Upazila Nirbahi Officer, Md Ahsan Reza, Deputy General Manager of the Principal Office of Sonali Bank-Natore, A.K.M. Amirul Islam, Joint Convener- Bangladesh Bank-Rajshahi and Shamim Ahmed, Assistant Director were present as special guest.
A documentary film on counterfeit notes transaction and its prevention was presented at the workshop.
During this time, teachers, journalists, businessmen, service holders and representatives of bank branches were present.
Speakers gave effective suggestions and necessary directions to the participants of the workshop to prevent the ill practice of counterfeit notes in respective areas.
Later on, an open discussion was held.
