The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast that the southwest monsoon may enter the country next week, potentially bringing increased rainfall and changing weather patterns.
According to meteorologist Md. Omar Faruq, the southwest monsoon has already advanced up to the Akyab coast of Myanmar, and conditions are favorable for its further progression into Bangladesh. A low-pressure system may also form over the Bay of Bengal around May 26, which could enhance rainfall activity.
