A paddy harvesting and field day event was held on Thursday at Teghori field in Bogura's Nandigram under the Rajshahi Division Agricultural Development Project.
The initiative, part of the expansion of modern technology in Rabi season, featured the use of a combine harvester for Boro block demonstration.
Bogura Deputy Commissioner Hosna Afroz attended as the chief guest at the programme presided over by Sohel Md. Shamsuddin Firoz, Deputy Director of the Bogura Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE).
Special guests included Upazila Nirbahi Officer Laila Anjuman Banu, Upazila Agriculture Officer Gaziul Haque, and Assistant Commissioner (Land) Rohan Sarker. Chairman of Nandigram Union Parishad, Rezaul Karim Kamal, along with officials from various departments, were also present.
Following the harvesting demonstration, a "Partner Congress" was organized under the Program on Agricultural and Rural Transformation for Nutrition, Entrepreneurship, and Resilience in Bangladesh (PARTNER) project, implemented by Upazila Agricultural Extension Department.
The event highlighted the importance of modern agricultural practices in improving productivity and promoting sustainable rural development in the region.
