Pakistan names T20 squad for Bangladesh series

The Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) selection panel announced a 16-member men’s squad on Wednesday for the upcoming three-match T20I series against Bangladesh.

Salman Ali Agha will continue as the captain for the series.

The series marks the beginning of Mike Hesson’s tenure as head coach of the national side.

Vice-captain Shadab Khan returns to the squad alongside experienced names such as Fakhar Zaman, Haris Rauf, and Hasan Ali.

Star batters Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan and pace spearhead Shaheen Shah Afiri were rested.

The squad has been selected based on players’ performances in the ongoing HBL PSL X, which concludes on May 25.

The three matches are slated to be held on May 28, 30 and June 1. All three matches will take place at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.
