One shot in Cox’s bazar Rohingya camp firing

A fight between two robber gangs turned into a shootout and one gang member was shot at a Rohingya camp under Teknaf upazila of Cox's Bazar district.

The incident occurred on Tuesday night at Nayapara Registered Camp in the upazila.
The injured is Moulvi Zaber, 30, son of Jakir Ahmed, a resident at Nayapara Registered Camp.

Confirming the events, a Rohingya leader (Majhi) of the camp Syed Mia said that an altercation arises between Noor Kamal and Moulvi Zaber groups establishing dominance within the camp.

During the clash, Moulvi Zaber was shot. Later, his group members rescued him and took to GK Hospital for preliminary treatment.

Subsequently, on-duty doctors referred him to Teknaf Upazila Health Complex. He is now under treatment there.
