A youth committed suicide after hanging himself in a mango tree at Nandail upazila in Mymensingh district on Wednesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Junayed, 20, son of Abul Islam, a resident of Kadirpur village under Moazzempur union in the upazila.
According to family members, Junaid had dinner together with his family on Tuesday night before going to sleep while his wife was visiting her home.
He slept in a room on the balcony while his parents and other family members slept inside room of the house.
During the night, he reportedly left the house unnoticed and hanged himself in a mango tree near their home.
Next morning, his family members found him hanging in the tree and informed police.
It is known that neither the family nor Junaid's friends were aware of any disputes or disagreements involving him.
Confirming the incident, Nandail Model Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Anwar Hossain said that police has dispatched to the scene and recovered the body after being informed.
The body has sent to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital for an autopsy, the OC added.
