Woman electrocuted in Ctg

A woman died after being electrocuted in Mehedibagh area of Chawkbazar police station in Chittagong city.

The incident happened at front of Mehedibagh National Hospital around 10 pm on Tuesday night.
The deceased was identified as Jannatul Ferdous, 45, daughter of late Siraj of Noapara area of Raozan upazila in Chittagong district.

According to local sources, she was walking home in the rain around 10 pm on Tuesday night. When she reached the road in front of Mehedibagh National Hospital, she was electrocuted and died on the spot.

Chittagong Medical College (CMCH) Hospital Police Outpost In-charge Nurul Alam Ashek said that the woman was brought to the hospital in a serious condition after coming into contact with the electric pole.

The doctor on duty declared her dead after conducting an examination, he added.
